The university is continuing to monitor the COVID-19 developments and consider the health, safety, and security of our students. After evaluating the recommendations and advice from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, the U.S. Department of State, and guidance from the UM System, the difficult decision was made to cancel fall 2020 and spring 2021 outbound study abroad programs.  

The Missouri S&T Coronavirus Information page includes travel guidance for students, faculty and staff. Missouri S&T policies operate in accordance with the Guidelines for University of Missouri Related International Programs  and UM System Guideline on Student or Other Participant International Travel or Study Abroad.

Students requesting to travel internationally and faculty who accompany them must submit a travel request through the Student International Travel, Risk Assessment and Safety (SITRAS) Committee.

Students wishing to delay their study abroad experience or pursue a virtual study abroad program should contact the Study Abroad Coordinator at studyabroad@mst.edu.
